Sharing the story, learnings & outcomes from Nature of SA codesign process between government and community to shift the system, and workshopping with guests ways to apply these learnings and principles to shifting systems in their own realm.

Meet The Activators

  • Mary-Anne Healy

    Mary-Anne has worked for over 20 years in environmental and nature conservation policy, working with other organisations to drive change through partnerships and collaboration. Mary-Anne's vision is connecting people and nature so everyone appreciates and understands the importance of nature to our lives. Most recently she led the development of the SA Nature Conservation Directions Statement and co-creation of an action plan to improve outcomes for biodiversity in SA.

  • Vicki-Jo Russell AM

    Vicki-Jo has been a driving force in biodiversity conservation in South Australia for over 25 years, initiating and influencing a range of significant programs, plans and policies over that time. Vicki-Jo was co-chair of the Nature of SA project, is chair of the Nature Festival, and has been recognised for her work and service to the environment including most recently named in the top 50 influential environmental champions in SA.

  • Jill Woodlands

    Jill is a gardener, a nature person and a consummate connector. She builds relationships and partnerships that are at the heart of what makes the Nature Festival possible. She has also been at the heart of other nature programs including the Parklands Project, Zoodle and Amongst It, and is a manager at The Diggers Club. Jill was recently awarded the Pelzer Prize for SA environment heroes.
